Musings in the cold

The weather in our part of the woods has been rather on the cold side. This has meant alot more inside days, less walks, less exercise. It does prompt me to read more but I miss the air outside much like I think Lu & Dag would feel if couped up. I hope that the rambling story is entertaining. My intent is not to tell a sequential week by week, more snap shots of moments in their adventures. The Yeti idea came when I was braving the near single digit temperatures to walk to the store. The store is only a few blocks away and by all rights I could have driven because of the cold but I like to force myself to walk when I can. But as I was walking and thinking about the plan to introduce the new character via a table spread with all the actors and some honest and fun board game rage I thought that Hunter would probably not sit still for most games. He would rather be out, exploring and tracking and chasing things. I did like the idea of little kids chasing something, some monster or boogey man and having no idea what to do if and when they catch it. It felt very honest.

So, meet Hunter and as it may or may not be apparent everyone in the comic is based on a god or creature or person of myth and fable. Hunter is my comics version of Herne the Hunter. Leader of the Wild Hunt. Keeper in the forest. I do like his possible connection with another horned figure I am partial to, Cernunnos. The other cast members are hopefully clear as to their representation or reference. If not feel free to reach out to me with questions.

Short blog this week, just enough to touch base. I am going to test out email notifications with the next comic. By the way, if you have subscribed thank you so much. If you have not, please consider it. As I work out the details of this platform I hope to add value to every interaction I can.
